Pro-Ed stands by the line in our school anthem stating, “Many nations in one common land”. We therefore will not deny learners an education due to nationality, race, religion or creed.
We support the ideology that all people are equal and thus deserve equal rights. Admission is, however, granted depending on an assessment by Administration of the potential of the applicant to benefit from the programme offered by this institution, as well as the schools capacity to meet the needs of said applicant. Should it not be possible for the School to accommodate applicants, learners enrolled as of the end of the previous term shall automatically be enrolled for the following term. New applications shall then be considered for admission based on the date of payment for registration accompanied by the registration form. If a waiting list for any grade is necessary, qualifying applicants will be admitted on a first come first served basis as a space becomes available. The decisions of Administration in such matters shall be final.
Students attending the school are charged fees, which cover tuition, limited stationary and text-books. The scale of fees is in line with those of other comparable International Schools and Member Schools of the South African Independent Schools Council.
Admissions and Placement of Students
Admission Procedure
Learners are admitted to the school on the basis of the recommendation of the Head teacher/ principal of their current school or, if necessary, a satisfactory performance in baseline entrance tests administered by the school at the school’s discretion. The main requirements for entry are:
- Evidence that the learner is able to perform on their grade level and keep up with the rigorous academic programme at Pro-Ed Private School.
- Evidence that the learner will enrich the atmosphere at the school both in the class and on the playground.
- Evidence that the ethos of mutual respect for all human dignity will be maintained by the presence of the learner.
School Fees
Each year the Pro-Ed Board determines the new school fees. The school fees are paid in 11 payments from January to 1 November. Termly and Annual discounted options are also available.
The School fees include a large starter pack stationary, text book rental for the year and inclusive remedial classes where required. Aftercare and school clothes are charged separately.
Please contact the school for the latest update on the school fees.
